Local Transcribe
Privacy Policy
Effective 10 October 2026
Local Transcribe does not collect any data.
- Your recordings and their text are stored only on your device, in the app's own files. They are never uploaded.
- Speech is turned into text on your device by Apple's speech engine. No audio is sent to us or to anyone else.
- The app has no account and no sign-in.
- The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party SDKs, and it does not connect to any server of ours.
- Deleting the app deletes its recordings and texts.
Microphone
The app uses the microphone only while you record. The audio stays on your device.
Network use
The app itself makes no network requests. Two things are done by iOS on its behalf: the App Store is contacted when you buy or restore the unlock, and Apple's speech model for German or English is downloaded once by the system. Both are handled by Apple under its own privacy policy.
Purchases
Unlimited transcription is bought through an in-app purchase in the App Store. Apple processes the purchase; the developer receives no personal information about buyers.
Sharing and export
Text or audio leaves the app only when you copy it, save it to Files or share it yourself.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
